Portadown Youth 1 Northend United 4 Saturday 31st October 2015
Northend U13s met Portadown Youth in Lisburn without the inform Pat Ferris. Northend were the dominant team but found themselves a goal down early on against the run of play. But after this it was all Northend. Ciaran Campbell had a great game playing in an attacking midfield role and he scored the equaliser after 14 minutes. Callum Higgins had another good week in centre midfield breaking up any of Portadown's play. With Harry Wylie in centre half comfortably dealing with all that came his way allowing Jamie Montgomery to make some great runs down the left. Ronan McKillop playing in right midfield also had a great game and playing one twos to break down the Portadown defence. But just before half time Ciaran Campbell got his second with a fantastic shot over the keeper to make it 2-1 at the break.
Northend continued the second half where they left off and created numerous chances. They attacked down both flanks through Jamie Montgomery on the left and Ronan McKillop on the right. And it was no surprise who scored for Northend, Ciaran Campbell beat three or four of the Portadown team and struck an sublime shot with his left foot into the back of the net from the edge of the box. With only a few seconds remaining Ronan McKillop got his reward, he bombed down the right side and made his way into the box coolly slotting the ball home to make it 4-1 at full time.
This was a great performance by Northend playing their best football of the year, there were a number of great performances but man of the match had to be Ciaran Campbell with his 3 goals and all round play.
Man of the Match; Ciaran Campbell

Northend United 1 Hillsborough 4 Saturday 24th October 2015
Northend U13s had a free week last week but this week they met the unbeaten team of the league, Hillsborough. The game got off to a bad start with Northend conceding in the first minute. It came from a loose pass from the kick off and Hillsborough took advantage of missed tackles. This was a tough game for Northend after the one week break. Harry Wylie played fantastically well at centre half and Callum Higgins in centre midfield. Northend did equalise through Patrick Ferris, his pace took him away from the Hillsborough defence and he found the net. Half time 1-1
The second half started as the first with Northend conceding a sloppy goal just after the kick off, leaving the score 1-2. The Blues midfield was struggling to hold onto the ball and Northend's strikers did not offer much relief. Patrick Ferris had at least two more opportunities to equalise breaking free from the defenders but just couldn't beat the on-form Hillsborough keeper. Callum Higgins was pulling the strings in the middle of the park for Northend.
Following an unsavoury incident 14 minutes into the half, the match eventually got underway again but Northend players were visibly upset and in shock at what happened. Northend battled really hard for the rest of the game but gave away another 2 soft goals before the final whistle. This was a much tighter game than the score ended up. Final score 1-4

Northend United 2 Windmill 3 Saturday 10th October 2015
It was another early start for Northend U13s who met Newry side, Windmill, in a 9:30am kick off. Windmill started the brighter of the two teams displaying more energy and pace in their football. Northend struggled to get into the pace of the game early on and the defence were under attack with everything coming down their left side. Windmill moved off the ball fluently and Northend's midfield and defence struggled to get to grips throughout the half. In a mad period of four minutes Northend conceded three goals, two of which should have been prevented. But Northend were too casual in not clearing the ball and they found themselves three down at the break. Half time 0-3
The second half started much the same but Northend managed to keep Windmill at bay and began to create their own chances. Patrick Ferris's pace began to show and he was bundled over in the box for a penalty. However the spot kicked was missed by Harry Wylie who had a great game at the back snuffing out Windmill on many occasions. This spurred on the blue and white hoops who pressed Windmill higher mainly through Ciaran Campbell and Patrick Ferris, Windmill began to struggle and Patrick Ferris got a great goal back making it 3-1. His pace was causing the opponents trouble and he was pulled down again outside the box. Pressure built and with less than 1ten minutes remaining, Ferris made it 3-2 with another well taken goal. But the final whistle came too early for Northend as they looked like an equaliser was on the cards. Final score 2-3
Overall Northend only really played in fits and starts with Campbell, Higgins, Ferris, Wylie and McKillop being the stand out players. The second half was much better performance and Northend almost got a draw. Next week sees them playing TW Braga with an early kick off.

Northend United 5 Lisburn Rangers 1 Saturday 3rd October 2015
Northend Utd U13s met another Lisburn team in Lisburn Rangers. After last weeks good performance Northend started the brighter team and found themselves 1 up after ten minutes. Ciaran Campbell struck a lovely free kick which the keeper could not keep out. It was 2-0 shortly after from the Northend's inform player Patrick Ferris. It was his pace again that the defence could not cope with. Callum Higgins was a having a good game in midfield adding a bit of bite in his challenge. Northend's defence had little to do but coped easily enough. It really was all Northend and Patrick Ferris made it 3-0 with another well taken goal bursting down the left hand side and beating the keeper. And like last week his pace caused havoc in the Lisburn defence and he was brought down for a penalty. This was his second hat trick in two weeks. Half time 4-0
The boys were warned not to let up in the second half but with the four goal cushion they found it hard to play the way they did in the first half. The second half was a bit scrappier with Northend failing to increase their lead and allowing Lisburn to have more control. They did pull one back mid way through the second half when a corner found a free Lisburn player at the back post who nodded it in. Northend pushed on and Ferris could have had two more but Ciaran Campbell popped up to tap in a rebound to get his second. The boys worked hard and are starting to get their rewards with two good performances in two weeks. Full time 5-1

Lisburn Distillery 0 Northend United 4 Saturday 26th September 2015
Northend U13s were fantastic this week when they came up against a good Lisburn Distillery team. It really was all Northend from start to finish. Right from the start Northend played attractive football with Ciaran Campbell pulling the strings in midfield alongside Patrick Ferris. And it was Patrick Ferris's day when he blazed through the Distillery defence and slotting the ball home after ten minutes. Northend's defence was solid with Ronan McKillop, Harry Wylie, Jamie Morrow and Jamie Montgomery keeping a clean sheet.
Northend's second came just before the break when Conor McGaughey broke through the defence and finished well finding the bottom corner. It could have been more, Pearse Esler found form down the left side taking on a number of Distillery players and crossing to the back post. Half time 0-2
With the boys working so hard on a massive pitch the second half could understandably been a little less urgent. But Northend continued where they left off and Patrick Ferris got his second of the game when he sprinted away from the Distillery defence. Patrick was on superb form and has been threatening this for the past two weeks. And he deservedly got his hat trick when he won a penalty and unlike last week he coolly put it away.
Every Northend player worked so hard for the full 60 minutes, their passing and moving was wonderful to watch. This was their best performance this season.

Northend United 0 Carrick Rangers 0 Saturday 19th September 2015
Northend began this match well and much of the game was played in the centre of the park, both team not creating many clear cut chances. Ciaran Campbell had a good game at centre half, linking up well with Patrick Ferris in midfield. Carrick played everything down their left wing but the impressive Ronan McKillop was strong at right back and didn't let much past him. Towards the end of the first half Ferris was finding space breaking clear on a number of occasions. Northend got a deserved penalty when the ball was handled in the box, however Patrick Ferris missed from the spot. Half time 0-0
Northend started the second half as they finished the first creating at least six more chances that should have put them well clear. Patrick Ferris had a great game and could have scored six but the Carrick keeper kept his team in the game. Northend's keeper had very little to do at the back and was rarely troubled. Northend as a team played really well and should have come away with the 3 points with the whole team contributing to a solid performance. However it wasn't to be with Patrick Ferris missing late on and Ciaran Martin squandering a great chance at the back with the last kick if the game, the boys came off frustrated at not wining this game. This was an a good solid team performance this week with the boys now finding their feet in this new league. Full time 0-0
Panel: C Higgins, J Morrow, H Wylie, J Montgomery, R McKillop, C Campbell, C McGaughey, R McQuillan, P Ferris, C Martin, N Devine

Lisburn Youth 5 Northend United 3 Saturday 12th September 2015
Northend got off to much better start this week by going one up early through a break from Pat Ferris. The team battled hard with much of Lisburn's attacks coming down their left and Jamie Morrow worked tirelessly all half. The defence was much tighter this week but Northend tried to play too much football from the back and allowed Lisburn to create a few chances. It was from a corner kick that the ball bounced up and struck the arm of the Northend player which the referee blew for a penalty mainly thanks to the shouts of the Lisburn players. It was a very harsh decision but it brought the score back to 1-1. Northend finished the first half very strong and got a well deserved second goal from a Ciaran Martin free kick. Ciaran Martin chipped the ball over the defence allowing Pat Ferris to show his pace and with quite a bit to do he raced on goal and found the net. Half time 1-2
Northend were warned to pick up where they left off but the struggled to start the second half and it wasn't until 17 minutes into the half did they get fired up. However by then they had gifted the Lisburn team 3 soft goals. Mainly poor defending and a slip from the keeper allowed the Lisburn team to take a 4-2 lead. The referee had to be on top of his game to deal with the niggly play creeping into the game. By this stage of the match Northend were chasing a third goal, and deservedly got it after 47 minutes. It looked like the draw was possible but again from a nothing attack Lisburn ran clear unchallenged and made it 5-3. Northend did have opportunities at 4-3 and could have easily got the draw or even the win but not this week. Full time 5-3
Better team performance this week with C Campbell and P Ferris in midfield played well along with the defence.

Northend United 1 Camlough Rovers 7 Saturday 5th September 2015
Northend Utd Under 13's began their 2015/16 season in the Daily Mirror Lisburn Youth League against a unknown Camlough Rovers team. After a number of years playing in NWDYL this was a step up for the boys now playing 11 aside.
Northend began slowly with Camlough looking very impressive in moving the ball around with some nice one touch passing. And their pressure led to an early goal with Northend finding it difficult in getting out of their own half. Northend found themselves 4 down in a short period of time mainly due to poor defending. The Camlough team were much stronger on the ball and their first touch was the difference. The first half finished with 2 more goals from Camlough. Half time 0-6
The second half began with Northend beginning to find their feet and Ciaran Campbell battled hard in preventing Camlough creating as many chances as they did in the first. The whole Northend team worked hard and got a goal back. Jamie Montgomery broke through and his shot rebounded to Adam Campbell who finished well. The score line may have been slightly unjust but Camlough were the better team. Full time 1-7
Panel: C Higgins, J Morrow, H Wylie, J Montgomery, R McKillop, C Campbell, C McGaughey, R McQuillan, A Campbell, C Martin and N Devine
